Akon will celebrate his Birthday with Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan

International singing sensation Akon is all set to celebrate his birthday in India with none other than Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. Akon will be celebrating his birthday just one day before his concerts kick off in India and it will be his 38yh birthday. His concert will start off on April 16th at Gurgaon followed by a concert in Bangaluru on April 17th. Akon will celebrate his birthday along with his Bollywood friends and fans on April 15th.

The US rapper was in India for a music concert. Talking to the media, Akon formally invited Bollywood King, Shahrukh Khan on his 38th birthday and said that his presence would be the best gift he could give.

Akon and Shahrukh Khan became friends during the production of RaOne.

The actor tweeted, “My Bollywood Birthday Bash, I’ll be performing live for you all in PUNE April 15th!!! I will head to India to perform on my birthday, April 16, in Gurgaon near New Delhi and on April 17 in the south Indian city of Bengaluru!!!” The R&B singer has also opened a contest where he will allow an Indian artist to open the show for him.

The star will tour the country with his wife Rosina and is expected to make a stop at Mumbai, which will not be part of the tour. He also hopes to visit some famous parts of Mumbai like the Gateway of India. According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan is planning to throw a bash for the star and will invite several Bollywood stars to be part of the party.

Although there were reports of concerts in Mumbai and Pune, but that had to be scraped because of the heavy entertainment tax imposed on concert in the respective states.

There are reports of Akon doing a private gig wither in Pune or Mumbai.

Akon will be making his Bollywood debut SRK’s Ra. One, another risky attempt by Bollywood in sci-fi movie arena.

Now it’s a matter of time to see how Indian audience reacts to such daring attempt by SRK. He is not letting go of any opportunity in terms of investment and effort to make this movie click. Indian audience is not very receptive of sci-fi film but last year biggest blockbuster Ethiran (Robot) has made a lot of prominent actors and directors daring enough to explore this not so familiar territory.
“After his private event last year, Akon wanted to give the general public, along with the B-Town fraternity, an opportunity to share in his celebration and party and dance the night away,” said Sujit Jain from Netsurf Entertainment.

“The team is making full arrangements to ensure it is a success, since there are many firsts to his visit in India this time around,” Jain added.

The performer, who features in Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One, is also expected to invite up to a thousand fans to the celebration on April 15, a day before his actual birthday.
